IMQubator was established in 2009 as an emerging manager fund of funds investment program backed by Dutch pensions asset management giant APG Asset Management

APG manages over €350 billion AUM, on behalf of ABP the Dutch government and education employees’ pension fund. It’s the largest pension fund manager in the European Union and among the three largest pension funds in the world

Over the 7 years term it seeded a number of successful hedge funds and private equity managers. It was awarded with five consecutive Hedgeweek Global Awards as “Best Seeding Platform” as from 2011

Key Business Objective:
The IMQubator fund platform came to end of its 7 year term (December 31st 2015) and ceased operations. It therefore sought a secondary sale of its assets to extract maximum value for its shareholders
Valery Capital’s Role:
Disposed €25m single private equity limited partnership interest in January 2016
Added Value Solution:
Managed targeted auction process including marketing, dataroom, production of marketing materials and support on legals
Outcome:
Valery Capital sold the stake at a premium exceeded price expectations
